What we collect
When you sign up: email, password (hashed with bcrypt — we cannot see it), display name, themes you opt into, and age confirmation. When you write: the text of your chapters, timestamps, and which stories you contributed to. When you visit: your IP address and browser user-agent in standard server logs, kept for thirty days.
What we do with it
Email: to verify your account, to tell you it's your turn, to send you finished stories, and to reset your password when you ask. Display name: shown beside your chapter in finished stories sent to fellow contributors. Themes: used to decide which stories to route to you. Chapters: published as part of their story to fellow contributors and to anyone with whom you or another contributor shares the story link.
What we don't do
We do not sell your email, your name, or your chapters. We do not run third-party ad trackers. We do not share individual writing behaviour with anyone outside the relay.
Third parties
Email delivery is handled by our SMTP host. Hosting is on a single VPS we operate. No analytics, no ad networks, no retargeting pixels.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time in settings. Deletion removes your email, display name, and account record. Chapters you wrote remain attached to their story (as anonymous) — the relay conceit depends on the whole manuscript surviving the loss of individual writers.

Cookies
One cookie: your session token, HTTP-only, thirty-day expiry. No analytics cookies, no third-party cookies.
